Whether you're considering a new standby generator or need service for an existing system, Power On USA is here to help. We've provided reliable generator installation, maintenance, and repair services for homeowners and businesses throughout Tallahassee and North Florida for years. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we hear about generator ownership, installation requirements, financing options, maintenance plans, and more.
We walk your property, review your electrical and gas needs, answer questions, and determine the best generator size and placement. We will establish a clear plan and transparent pricing — no surprises
Most installations are completed in 1–2 days at your home. Behind the scenes, however, our team invests dozens of hours coordinating permits, inspections, utility approvals, and delivery scheduling to ensure everything is as seamless as possible during installation.
We will assign your generator out of our inventory and begin the permitting process which can take up to a month depending on which county you reside in. We have an expert team to streamline the process though to keep that turn around as tight as possible. Once all permits are received we will coordinate installation.
A quality install follows manufacturer specs, local codes, and best practices for safety and reliability. Unfortunately, we often see sloppy installs — undersized gas lines, improper wiring, or work that wasn't permitted — that lead to costly repairs. Our licensed team gets it right the first time.
The right size depends on your home’s square footage, appliances, HVAC units, and your priorities (whole-home coverage vs. essentials). During your assessment, we’ll review your needs and recommend the correct size to keep your home protected.
Yes. Generators require permits and city inspections to ensure safety and compliance. We handle the entire permitting and inspection process for you to help give you peace of mind.
Cost will depend on the size of the generator and complexity of the installation. We will provide a detailed estimate to give complete clarity.
Manufacturers warranties cover defects in materials or workmanship for a set period of time. Scheduled maintenance is your responsibility as the owner — oil changes, filters, spark plugs, inspections, and testing. Think of warranty as protection from defects, and maintenance as protection from wear and tear.
Your generator is like a vehicle — it needs regular service to run reliably. Without maintenance, you risk breakdowns, voiding warranty coverage, or failure during an outage. We offer affordable maintenance plans to give you peace of mind.
We offer ongoing service and diagnostics. Many issues can be spotted remotely if you choose our Fleet monitoring. If a problem occurs, our certified technicians can troubleshoot and repair quickly.
